ENABLE_RENDER and ENABLE_TREE

Does anyone know why returning 1 from the event function doesn’t seem to cause the entity to not be rendered by the engine as the manual suggests it should.

Sorry to bump this but it's kinda important to me, or should I post this in bug hunt?

maybe you're doing something wrong... could you post your code?
