Getting car speed with Newton - 06/06/04 06:19

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get some new code working for my Newton enabled car, but am unsure as to how I should get the speed and if possible, the rotational speed of the car (not the wheels, but the actual body of the car).

Any tips on how to do so would be awesome. The other part I'd really like is if I could check when the wheels break the coefficient of friction holding them and begin sliding, but that might be a bit too much to ask .

Wouldn't this get better play at the Newton PE forum than the 3DGS PE forum?

With the car physics hot in discussion a working code for it would be available soon.

(However there are better things to play with physics then car physics, like simulating a comet through different levels of gravity or missile fragments)
