What would a good polycount per person be if there was about 6-10 people on screen?

200 to 300 would be ok I would Imagine. Maybe one of the guys that have had 5 or 6 animated models on screen can shoot me down in flames

200-300 Polys is much to low detailed use 800 it's the standart for Human Game models

If you had 6-10 animated mdls all at 800 or so polys would the framerate suffer considerably?

In Guerilla Tactix we have upto 20 animated and 20 static models at the same time viewable with about 20.000 polys at all and its still playable with 25 - 30 fps.

I am developing a set of realistic human models. They all average between 700-800 polys. I don't see any problems with haveing up to 20 on the screen at once as long as you have a good video card.
