how to import models from 3DS format in A6?

I made some models by using 3D max,
but I can not use it in A6,
when I import it from 3ds,it tells me open *.tif,*.jpg.
at last,it is black at all.
please tell me how to do so?

See downloads section. There is a plugin "max2mdl".
Or import 3ds file into med editor.

First off all: What Gamestudio version do you use?

And when you import *.3ds files in Gamestudio then you cannot use tif or jpg only bmp, pcx or tga.

Don't forget to adjust the ambience value in MED for your model before saving it to MDL, otherwise it appears black or super bright in the game. I find a standard ambience in the "material" section:

Diffuse = 50%
Ambient = 5%
Emissive = 5%

Try that, see how the model looks, you can always reload your model into MED, change the values and resave. To give it a texture, just go to view skins and import a bitmap. I hope this helps.
