Sprite trouble. cheap mirrors - 07/22/07 17:42

hello all ive followed the cheap mirrors tutorial, and reread it numerous times but no matter what i do, the sprite cant be used as a floor when ingame. my character stands on the sprite as it shoukd but is unable to walk on the floor sprite. anyhelp would be great thanks

Place a real floor there and set its texture to 'none' then put the sprite just bellow its surface.
The 'none' texture flag makes the floor (block) invisible but with collision detection on so that your char can walk on it.

thank you for your help. that has kind of worked. i can walk on it but only upto a certain point. and theres a light (bright) block where i can walk

Set 'passable' on the sprite so that you are not affected by its bounding box.

Thank you that has worked, except i still have this annoying bright box that follows me everywhere i go on the floor?

and yes i know the floor textures too big. im trying to get it sorted first

Been a while since I worked with blocks so am not sure anymore.

The artifact may be a factor in your entity build like camera placement, lights etc.

Good luck with sorting it out.
