I'm not sure but from what i've seen and read about transparency
is that it has something to do with alpha channel.
Also maybe the my.alpha I think it is in your script.
The glass itself has to be a seperate entity as well.

Do a search in the forums I'm sure you'll find something usefull
to your needs.

Just make sure that the part of the glass in your texture has a transparent alpha channel

Info about the alpha channel:

I followed the directions(tested one with Gimp and one with Adobe PS), but when I go to Alapha Texture File and try to load it, it says wrong texture format(and they're in tga).

Any ideas?

don't use tga texture compression. it's a saving option.

i'm confused?

Transparent=tga?

if i just load it up like a normal skin image, no change.

And if it i don't make it tga it wont be transparent.

what to do?

There is a Alpha Channel tutorial on the wiki.

Yeah thats the one i looked at. I followed it step by step, and used two different programs.

Created image, saved as TGA.

The question is though where/what do i do to apply this to the selected area.

Does the transparency not show up in med?

Just try to run it and it should be fine. MED+skin-editor+WED does not show transparency.

WOOT my lamp's glass is finally transparent ^^.

I'll post some picy's later.

Thanks much for help =_). Turns out I had it set right I just didn't realize you had to build/run the game to actually see the transparency .
