DirectX Redraw After Running A7.07 - 01/23/08 18:57
If applications such as Wed, Med or any other programs that use Dx viewports
are open when the engine starts, they refuse to redraw or recreate their views
after exiting the engine. Even selecting "refresh views" or "recreate views"
does not seem to work.
I have A7.07 pro, Dx 9.0c, nvidia GeForce 7800 GS, winXP sp2.

Which GXL library are you using?

Same here, GXL2BASDX9A.DLL
Sometime the WED 3D view cannot to object texture. I need to reopen the level to restore the views.
I am using the latest nvidia driver.

I can't confirm this problem, but I'll forward it to Wladimir.
Does it happen with all projects, or only when some special content is visible in the views, or in the engine view, such as a model, or terrain?

Ok, one more question - does it only occur with GXL2BASDX9A.DLL or also with GXL2BASDX9.DLL?

I checked it with the trial version of A7 from internet. And there this problem occurs only with the 9A but not with the 9 DLL.

Re: DirectX Redraw After Running A7.07 - 01/28/08 09:32
Hardly. The problem is related to multiple DirectX devices opened by the GXL library. This does not work with all DirectX drivers. I've made it more clear in the manual.
"Libraries ending with ..A use the same DirectX device for all views; otherwise a separate DirectX device for any view is allocated. Note that some video drivers can't handle an ..A library when other programs, like the engine, open a DirectX device at the same time. In that case, use the other library."
