2 problems loading spirits into WED

2 problems loading spirits into WED - 05/10/08 00:30

The first is i saved a photo shop pic as a .tga as the WED Tutorial instucted but when i try to load it in WED as a spirit the file doesnt show up in my work folder(were i saved it). Any ideas why?

Second I made a blood splater spirit and did as the WED Tutorial insturcted and made the places i didnt what to show up pich black but am lost on were to find these RGB valus that i have to set to zero.

so can anyone help plz

if u have painted something black u have to set

my.overlay = on;

then the black pixels should be invisible. check out "d3d_autotransparency" in the gamestudio-help (f1). with this variable u can handle that the color of the pixel in the upper-left-edge is used for the overlay (=1) or that black is overlaycolor (=0)

sry but i can't solve your first problem!


ahhh and by the way, the pictures are called "sprites" ;\)

For your blood splatter sprite it's best if you use a TGA image with alpha channel. This gives you much better quality.

4 black candles, your gamestudio cd, place your cd into a small coffin... oh sprites! nevermind...
