space port - 10/22/09 18:25

I want to put a dome over my space port. I want the dome to have a very tent to it, just so you know it is there. Can I do this in MED or do have to do it with code?
Thank you

I tryed to use a textures that I made in photoshop. I made it where you could see the green tent like at 18%. I save it in tga formatt and put it in WED and when I ran it in the game engine you could not see through it. I hoped that I could do it in WED, but it looks like I can't.

Did you set the Transparent flag on?

Silence. Do you do that in wed, or are you talking about putting it in as a model and the set the Transparent flag on. I can do it with code and SED, but I would like to do it in WED. Now if I can do it in WED you are going to have to tell me how.
Thank you

Yes you do halve to put it in as a model then set the transparent flag in the objects properties.

Here is a list of things to do it if your still confused.

1. You need to make a dome model if you haven’t done it yet
blender.org
here is a link to a reasonably nice modeling software
if you don't have any others other than MED,
and best part it's free.

2. Now that you have your model, put it in to you working
folder.

3. Now open your level.

4. Rite click the 3d view screen and click add model.

5. Position your dome accordingly to where you want it. Then select it and in the object property window check the transparent box. Build the level and it should be transparent

Hope this helped.
