paperball... - 06/27/07 18:11

Hi!

Ich war zu faul, die Dinger immer wieder in den Papierkorb zu werfen...
Das ist daraus geworden.. (Demo läuft Ende Juni aus).

download, zip 8mb; (nur bis Ende Juni)

Lol.. nice Idea!
and well balanced... I got it into the 100 one, but it was a lot harder than the 10 one... well done!

Re: paperball... - 06/27/07 18:49

Good idea

But once i found out how hard i have to throw into the 100 one, it become boring. i landed one after one inside the garbage, till it was full and i couldnt throw in any more balls oO

Re: paperball... - 06/27/07 19:15

Addicting for a first little while, nice graphics and relaxing sounds I started to do a few trick shots, like off the bookcase on the right into the 50 bucket.

Off the walls into other buckets, etc. - fun Good work! Keep it up, should make objectives or something to keep the challenge up.

Re: paperball... - 06/27/07 19:26

...did you noticed the bonus (*2) when throwing off the walls/furniture into buckets? (and have you tried the mug? )

Re: paperball... - 06/27/07 19:33

played until 5800 points .. nice and a little addicting.
But how about add some more fun or suprising stuff?
Like your boss walks in and if you hit him you get like 500p or a minus

edit:
the mug is tricky at first, but 500p is a nice prize for a hit

Re: paperball... - 06/27/07 19:55

I can't get the mug... but it's a fun little minigame..

Re: paperball... - 06/27/07 20:03

Nice idea
But papers from the buckets should be disappearing.
If bucket is full it's impossible to make points
Cheers
Idea with the boss is cool for me

Re: paperball... - 06/28/07 16:22

Interesting but kinda boring as it is.

Why don't you change the position of the buckets each turn?
Later on, why not having them moving around...
These are kind of variations that I'd like to see.

Re: paperball... - 06/28/07 17:34

Well done! Physics and game handling feels very good. I'd love to see some more funny ricochet setups...e.g. touching several objects before the paperball falls into a bucket wich you could never reach on by a straight shot.
It would be really worth extending this

thats what i would like to do with all the university learning stuff right now...

I actually don't know, AFAIK I don't think there is a proper translation
A free translation could be: BOX SHOOTING but I would change that potential title

EDIT: Retried the game and the tin cans are a nice extra but there is one bug with the cans. Sometimes, when I shoot at the cans and the ball makes a contact with a can, the sound of a can colliding with the floor or with another can pops up

Cheers

@ulf: was hast Du für einen Rechner? Ich hab' versucht den Haufen (mit der von Dir verwendeten Version) "nachzubauen" - ohne Erfolg

Re: paperball... - 06/28/07 19:53

Re: paperball... - 06/28/07 21:09

Had a lot of fun with this and noticed you have charts up.
Just a suggestion here based on an opportunistic idea, perhaps one of the charts could be made into a rating/scoring system for a different way of displaying scores.

Re: paperball... - 06/28/07 21:17

Sorry I didn't exacly get what you want to say (my english is that bad )
Do you mean a highscore list?
Posted By: Nems

Re: paperball... - 06/28/07 23:44

no, rather than having the usual score system maybe you could use one of the wall charts in the demo to display the scores to be differrent from the usual window panels.
