Looks really sophisticated! How do you differ between different body poses? Do you just try to match the covered areas with a template or do you evaluate specific body motions and edge data or something like that?
I know the system :P, which is btw the cheapest one could think of, I am really suprised that it works that good. Oh, I of course also already played a demo My webcam is very bad, thus it doesn´t work as good is in that video, but still it works and is a lot of fun
hey lostclimate, that is an awsome idea Two or three leds on some kind of a sword and it should already work pretty nice with my point detection the alternative would be using the wiimotes accelerators :P or probably a combination of both.
Instead of leds you can use some unique colors for the markers. After all its a 2d image from which you are trying to get information. Same thing has been used by camtrax people. You can extract x,y position and angle also if you use the marker with one side longer. The z depth can be calculated by calculating the size of marker on screen. Camtrax has also a dll for use with your application.
I have been looking at many such papers. And I have some of my own ideas too. Got some Flash code to look at too. And got the dll from slin and would see what I can do. Secret - LOL.

my dear fellow, I was searching and saw your video, I marvel that so much could not sleep at night, then decided the other day searching on the subject, be it only that he developed? or not? then found clues in the forum, after half an hour found the answer, in fact you are using a program that transforms the moving image, the only thing you did was make 3dgs interact with pragrama, so you do not galera released a demo for test, if would not have to install the program too, elementary my dear colleague just do not know how you connect, but it worked
