FFP Multitexturering vs. Stencil Shadows - 11/12/05 23:24

Well, I'm using a 4 pass multitexturing shader on my terrain. The shader is pretty much the same as the one in the wiki.
I now have to realize that stencil shadows are not rendered on the terrain surface any more...

any idea for a work around for this problem?

thanks

look at aum's (51) code for nice technique (model+shader) to emulate shadow.

hm, thank you, but i not really want to use another fake-technique...

maybe some shader-freak knows how to change the render states of the multitexturing shader to make it work?

lol.. shader-freak

Do the shadows just not appear, or what? What kind of camera do yo have, you cant really use first person camreas with stencil shadows in A6 because the shadows will blnk on and off if the camera enters the shadow volume... do the shadows appear if you turn off the material?

hey, just the right person!

i'm aware of the camera-problem, i'm using a third person camera.
the shadows are rendered on the casting models and are cast to other models, but dont appear on the terrain surface. if i turn of the material they appear on the terrain.
