Better quality fonts - 07/14/11 16:56

Hello,

Posted about fonts a while ago and since then have created quite a few using bitmap masks and font creators.

Just wanted to ask if there is a way to get a better quality fonts from a 24bit tga.

The examples below are ok but always seem blocky and unprofessional, especially the O and S.

Would appreciate any assistance.

Would also be interested if anyone has a load of created fonts and wants to sell them.

best regards,

Rob

and here the link to the newest version (from HarryPotter's Signature :

I haven't testet the tool, but it might be what you're searching for!

My Font-Generator supports 32-bit TGA graphics format.
When using this graphics format your fonts will be rendered with smooth borders. And you can also use semi-transparent fonts.

You can find the link for downloading my Font-Generator in my signature.

*doh* so there's a font generator laying around already? I've ended up having to create it manually before...

thanks to everyone for your replies.

I do have the font generator but have been reluctant to use the 32bit tga option. Will give it a go and see what happens.

cheers,

Rob
