The entire published folder has to be smaller than or equal to 5MB. Don't include any files that aren't copied to the published folder automatically - they aren't needed. I have received only 3 entries until now, so everyone has the chance to win a prize
another question is it posible that i first send you the first file and then when i have a big change i can send that before 15e so i dont forget to uplaod it before 15e
I don't care anymore about all this... I worked hard on last contest and won... nothing, how predictable. If I can't enter a bit edited MiniPH, I won't enter at all. (I'm currently making a game for 2d competition, because the prize is more materialistic - 1000$...). Deadline is 15th?..
do you need to include d3dx9_30 because its more then 2 mb

Erm, well if I publish the game, and want to play it, it asks for d3dx9_30. But the publisher does not include it. I have to do that manually. And acknex.dll and d3dx9_30.dll are 4.6 MB together...
Yes, the demos are accepted as long as they are sent on the 15th of November 2008, before it is 23:59 anywhere in the world. You don't need to include d3dx9_30 in the archive.
"And so we go" :P Yeasterday I noticed that not entering at last something will be truly stupid, so I'm insanely coding a turn-based strategy game: over 400 lines per 2 days! Now it's technicaly done, but I'll try to get AI engine inside till end of today.
I'm nearly done with AI engine. Maybe simple for turn-based RTS, but has main 2 things that it should do to make the game: 1. "Purge the weak" tactics (always will try to focus fire on the weakest unit). 2. Not much tactical, but movement and skill(attack) usage. As always, I'll sumbit the download link in same time with letter.
And so, here we go! demo: http://willhostforfood.com/files3/2261864/battlesystem.cd.zip dx9: http://willhostforfood.com/files3/3850069/d3dx9_30.zip (actualy its now not fun for me, because it's 1:35AM here and I have to do lots of things tomorrow...) Controls: Mouse & Keyboard. Mouse: Mouse left: click. Mouse right + hovering: scroll view. Mouse middle(press the wheel) + hovering: rotate view. Mouse middle + Mouse right + hovering: change distance. Select your units (at the top of screen at start of game), do actions, destroy your enemy. Watch your energy points. When unit is out of them, actions will become unavaible. Then press [space] to end turn and give the AI time for action.
It's not entry yet, I'll add some more features tomorrow. (well, actualy should say "today"). But I'd like to get feedback now...
the game isnt fished and only contain 2 lvl's the controls are pretty hard if you dont understand them the controls work only white the mouse so no keys execpt esc and alt+f4
if you cover the blue you go to the nexts lvl on green you can have a bigger size on red is lvl reset yellow is a trigger
As i have this day to finish the game, i'm improving ai quality also added some new skills and models. Sad thing is that i cant get some high-quality models & sounds inside... Btw (well, not really but anyway): right now i'm browsing the forum from my mobile phone:). Looks great, only a7 logo is a bit offset.
and that's my entry. It's a early Alpha but it should work so far. For the future i want to include all sorts of powerups, many secrets, maybe enemys, better splotchs but for now, I'm proud about this version.
Projekt: Splotch you the way Version: Alpha 1 developing time: 6 days 5 Level included
Start the Game with the "Blackwhite.exe"
5 level you must challange. The Goal is, find the black exit as fast as you can. The Problem is, the world ist completly white. Your only chance is to shoot at the ground/walls that you can see where the way is. Stay alert and don't fall into the holes. Good luck!
This game is a challenge.. the challenge is to land the plane on the runnway (straight ahead).. You will start above an overcast cloud facing the airport.
Then you must pitch down about 5-10 degrees and descend until your herizontal ILS bar centers on green.
You will also have to turn and alight yourself with the vertical ILS.
If you maintain perfict ILS alighnment, you will find yourself at the runway in no time. The plane is already flying but if you want more speed, hold F3, to slow down, hold space. The controls are the curser keys. When you land on the runnway, hold SPACEBAR to stop, you can steer with the curser keys. When you come to a complete stop on the runnway, mission accomplished.
No No. I think Swan will get much better I have the idea from them. But my goal is to develop "splotch.." beyond of the contest with more colours, powerups, level, secrets .. when i have more time
It's was perfect for the 5MB contest and for using the ent_decal feature.
Yea but the very last minute is when most will be submited I would think, I completed mine within 10 minutes of the deadline, took me 5 minutes to setup a web server on my own computer to host the file on, then another to post my entry on this thread, I had only a few minutes to spare!
I can't wait to see who wins first place! I've uploaded and tryed all the game entries posted in this thread and I gotta say, I think splotch might beat me lol.
