Is there much interest in getting your game published with low fees and you retain the rights?

I plan on doing this for indie devs only but I wish to get some feedback first

What exactly is desura? When publishing you will not be bound by an agreement that we hold the sole publishing rights. If you are bound to one publisher you will not get much exposure

desura is a development, release and cdn platform created by the team of moddb, Like steam with primary focus for indie games and free mods. And no you are not bound to one publisher.

Right now all we have is our marketing strategy, but there again you are not locked into one publisher. The more publishers you get out to the more potential you have for revenue

Looks pretty cool, while we do not plan on doing mods, as most mods you need the permission of the original developer to post for sale there is no reason to not publish with as many publishers as you can. This can only potentially bring in more revenue.

read more carefully, mods are released free on developers wish and will, and indie games are released under the control of the developer. This not just for mods. It is for mods and games. Think of it as Steam for indies.
