Developer of GED / EasyParticle / LED Searching for Work - 03/05/10 11:58

Hey,

I'm able to speak german - but as i can also work in an english team this post is in english

I'm a programmer for over ten years now and developed popuplar programs like GED, EasyParticle 1-3.1 and LED. At the moment I'm searching for paid freelancer jobs (preferable in C++) in any kind of project.

Programming experiences:
  • Programming Languages:
    • Very Good (+5 Years experience): C++, C, Lite-C, ABAP
    • Can work with them (1 Year): Delphi, C#, PHP
    • Basic Knowledge (<1 Year): LISP, Scheme
  • Finished Software
  • Further experiences in:
    • Game-Development
      • Pathfinding (A*)
      • Particles
      • Weapon-Codes
      • GUI Design
      • Some more..
    • Software Engineering
    • Specialized Programming topics like
      • Thread programming
      • Multiplatform programming
      • Interprocess Communication
      • Parsing
      • Boost
      • Database development
      • DirectX

What am I searching for
Any kind of project. My prefered programming language is C++ (which is of course fully compatiable to 3D-Gamestudio with DLL-Plugins).

Any special offers besides of codes in the fields above?
Anything you can image. Examples:
  • Optimize your whole code - No matter how big it is.
  • Work as a technical consultant - Ask, I'll answer - via icq / skype or any method you like.
  • Find bugs in your code you're not able to find.
  • Work as a programming trainer.

Other Information
I'm a student, and want to earn a little bit of money. So don't care: I do not plan to earn a bunch of money - I'm sure also a small team can afford me! .

As I'm a student, I do not want to work as an employed but as a freelancer and therefore not paid per hour of work but paid project-based. (E.g. a fixed amount of money for a specified project).

Lol, here I was thinking I had an awesome opportunity to get a REALLY experienced team member for my studio. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to pay you. Oh well, it's not every day you see some pro wanting to work for free. tongue

Why Conitec not hire you to develop some new editors for A8?

I don't think we need any new editors... SED, WED, MED, and GED are enough.

I just wonder why GED is outsourced, and suppose GED should keep evolving, there should be plenty of todo in future release, however the outsourced develop is seeking for job...

@Frederick_Lim: This is because of conitec. I don't know either way they don't want to see a more advanced GED in the future... But I would advice you to post a message in the A8 thread for letting them know what the comunity wants.

This is a pity, LED looks so able to replace SED.
Unless they have some "secret" plans...
