New Zorro version 1.58 - 05/09/17 13:50

A new Zorro release is available:

http://opserver.de/down/Zorro_1580.exe

This will be the official 1.58 release when no new bugs become known in the next time. 1.58 contains features for testing HFT systems, and many improvements and fixes to broker API connections. The complete feature list can be found on http://manual.zorro-project.com/new.htm.

This version also contains the Zorro S functions for subscribers or owners of a Zorro S license. Please report all problems here!

thank you! Not sure I can locate the list of new features for 1.58 following that link.
Btw: What happened to the intergration of NxCore? It is no more listed in features. I found that brilliant idea.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the zorro team for developing and supporting this awesome project.

I've been studying the tool for the last two weeks, and believe me when I tell you that there has not been a single day that you guys have not blown my mind with some cool concepts or built-in functionalities laugh

Re: New Zorro version 1.58 - 05/17/17 01:28

Should we install the new version into the same directory with the old one? I have done some jobs and save them in the old directory, I don't want them to be overwritten。I noticed Zorro detected a previous version existing. Just want to make sure.

Thank you.

If you have modified some files and don't want them to be overwritten, or if you want some trading systems to continue, install it in a new directory. Otherwise overwrite the old directory.

Do you mean I install the new version into a new directory, copy my own strategy and asset list to new strategy and history fold, then run the updated Zorro?

Thank you.

Yes, that will work. You can install different Zorro versions in any directories. - Since now new bugs have been encountered during the beta test, 1.58 is now the official release version.

Re: New Zorro version 1.58 - 05/17/17 10:50

If I only add some scripts, without modifying any existing files, I can still install the new version to the old directory and it should work, isn't it?

Thanks

I cannot use historical prices from Yahoo anymore. I get this error:
Bad date format - can't parse Historyhistory.csv. The history.csv contains html code instead of csv lines.

It does not seem that the Yahoo engineers are particularly quick today.

But in general the history download from Yahoo is working:

I found this,

Z12 (Zorro S Subscription) ..
Login FXCM..
!Login - Can't connect to price server.
Can't connect!

Is it a problem with Zorro, or the data providers?

Re: New Zorro version 1.58 - 05/19/17 15:23

Hi jcl,

are the Z strategies from 1.58 compatibel to 1.54, so that we can overwrite the 1.54 directory with the 1.58 install on the productive system?

Or must we use a second install/directory and finish 1.54 smoothly by setting the margin=0 in all 1.54 Z strategies?

Kind regards, Peter

Re: New Zorro version 1.58 - 05/19/17 16:17

The Z strategies must run in an 1.58 environment. But you can keep or copy over the .trd files as described in the manual, and just continue the trading sessions with 1.58.
