CAST flag in WED for lights - 03/20/09 08:08

Hi,

would it be possible to add a checkbox in the lights properties panel to choose whether the CAST flag is set for that light or not?

Could be checked as default to for compatibility reasons.

Best regards,
Pegamode.

Thanks for the quick response ... that's good to hear.

Can you already say when to expect this new feature approximately?
Near future?

Hi,

is there any new information on this?

It would also be great if a dynamic light set in WED could be "manipulated" per script during runtime, for example the color-values or lightrange and so on.

Currently I'm using a workaround by setting an invisible model-dummy with has the light-flag set.

Pegamode.

Quoting 3D Realms: "When it's ready". wink

For dynamically changing the light, generate it by script. WED lights are static only.

Hm, should we worry since 3D Realms is dead now? grin

True. It should be changed to: "When it's done, or we are..."
Which is hopefully not what he meant.

But a WED light which has set the dynamic flag shouldn't be static, shouldn't it?

Well, I would call it a static dynamic light, so to speak. wink
