Z1 changing risk - 11/27/12 10:10

Hi JCL

Could you tell me how the risk/margin can be changed for Z1? I would like to backtest with some different parameters for these. Thanks, Lee

For changing risk and margin globally, use the sliders.

For changing the margin for an individual component, edit the z12.fac file and change the OptimalF factor, which is the first number in the line after the component identifier.

Hi JCL,
Thanks for your reply, when I try to change it globally and then run the sliders set back to a set level so I guess I need to change in the OptimalF settings?
How does OptimalF relate to risk?

Thanks, Lee

The sliders only go to their default position when you start Z1 the first time. Afterwards they keep the value that you've set. You can click [Stop] after having started Z1 for entering new slider positions.

OptimalF has no effect on the risk limit, only on the margin. The maximum risk per trade can only be set with the Risk slider.
