today i received an email from turbosquid concerning taxes. now all that dont live in the us are , take this, Non-Resident Alien

As far as I'm informed, "alien" in U.S. law refers to a non-citizen of the U.S., doesn't it? So there's nothing special about it...
Or did I miss the joke somewhere...?

"alien", as endgegner already said, has different meanings too, such as:
der/die Ausländer/in
ausländisch
fremd
fremdartig
der/die Gebietsfremde

i got this mail too. what does it mean? i don't have an ITIN but so far my payments always were the full 50%.

<edit>hm... their faqs seem to be more detailed now. i guess they should be read but i don't feel like it at the moment. </edit>

Das entsprechende Steuerformular heisst hier 1040 NR (=Non-Resident alien)
