Problems distributing game with PhysX - 08/30/10 11:21

Hello,
I created a small game using PhysX engine. I packaged and I sent the game to a friend of mine.
He copied game directory in his computer, and when he launched the game he got:

Code:
malfunction w1527
PhysX not found

He reinstalled drivers, and he even tried to copy physx.dll in the same dir of the game, but.... nothing!
He cannot use the game.

Please help me! Maybe I missed somthing during the game distribution?

thank you for your support!

Update: My error is regarding ackphysX.dll

Code:
ackphysX.dll opened.

But I get a dialog-box error:

Code:
Malfunction W1527
Can't initialize PhysX

Hi!

Today I've tested a small PhysX-Level on my PC at work. I get the same error.

I think it depends on the hardware. At home I use a Gefore 9600GT, a work I had a 7200SE. This card had no PhysX-GPU: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_gpus.html

Seems there is no fallback-code like a emulation or use the CPU for the calculation.

Hi!

A while back I was having problems when it came time to play
the .exe game.

The problem at that time was my anti-virus. It removed the vital part
of the game thinking that it was a virus.
If this is the case in your situation, you will have to tell
your anti-virus not to remove the file.
