i try to change icon of wed but doesnt work.
is there any methode to change icon without get wed damaged

I have written a tool for changeing icons in apps long time ago, but i think every Resource-Explorer for PE (exe) files will do the trick.

because wed icon is not modern to me so thats way i want to change it

Edit: For me it does not work with wed, but maybe its my 64bit system. Just try, if not try any res hacker like Esper said below.

i used res hacker to change the editor icons (or acknex icon). it woroks great

the original ivons are way to small for win7

has someone a list of possible maximum Icon resolutions for Windows Xp, Vista and Windows7 ?

wan i edit the icon of wed with any program "res hacker or resource explorer ...." the publisher be doesn't work can any one help me plz
in A7 this problem doesn't exist

Why would you change WED's icon? I guess the programm detects an alternation in the software and refuses to publish.

Im not sure about WinXP, but I changed my WED icon to this:


256x256

Works fine with Windows 7 but using a smaller icon is better.
With highres ones you'll have aliasing problems.

Which icon format did u use ? I tryed yesterday, just to know, same for me. WED keeps crashing while publishing then.

yes you are right

Then i would say its like lemming said. the a8 wed does not like any modifications of the exe file (what makes sense). Even using the same icon leads to an publishcrash...nice ^^
