No differense at all. Forget about manual. Get AUM (magazine link at page bottom), get some tuts and try, try...

Firstly you have to read books,tuts,code snippets,reading aum,... But later the manual is very important, because if you don't know the syntax of a command. Or if you want to learn more about a specific command. So you can just read the info about that without searching for hours. But I would prefer to use all things(manual,tuts).
