Publishing without a WMB level?

Publishing without a WMB level? - 07/27/06 17:31

How can I publish my 2D game without a WMB level? It doesn't use any so why should I have to include it (along with a big file size assocated with one with a single block in it with an all-white texture)? I wonder if I can create a bunch of 0-byte files to counter this....

Edit: I'm using version 6.31.4 for this (my 2D game only works in that version).

Have you tried making a level, then publishing it and taking that level out of hte cd folder? If the game works wihtout a level I think you can get away with it not being there.

When I publish, I noticed that the game save files are published with it, but are not visible at all in the published directory. HUH!? I can tell because, when I test run the published version, I see my last save settings and that it doesn't ask for the EULA agreement stuff that starts up and it runs in full edition mode, something that wouldn't happen. None of these files are in the .cd directory....

Edit: never mind the second issue as defining the savedir was causing it and the files were copied into the savedir instead. I commented out that line and it's saving as expected. And yes, deleting the WMB file does work, but it's annoying to have to recreate it every single time I change the version, but this is otherwise not much of a big deal.
