I recently upgraded from a5 to a6. I installed the a6 trial, ran the key.exe, and then ran the 6.4 upgrade (I also made sure I have DX9 installed). In the MED, I cannot set the 3d view (or any other view) to anything other than wireframe (the menu items are checked, but it still only displays wireframes). Also, I cannot show normals or show/hide verticies unless I switch to/from vertex mode. I've tried refreshing, recreating, restarting, and reinstalling, but nothing works. The only possibly related oddity I can find is in the MED.log file, the first line:

load dll: MS\CPI01.DLL
full name: <C:\Program Files\GStudio6\MS\CPI01.DLL>
error loading

Am I overlooking something, or is this file damaged and causing problems somehow?

Of course, the minute I post this I figure it out.
preferences->video out ->change dlls

It still doesn't show any normals, though.

View -> Selected/All Normals. The A6 MED is a little different to the A5 MED, but you shouldn't have any problem when you read the manual.
