Does someone have the update to A5.24 for 3D GameStudio 5 Standard/Extra Edition and could offer it after contacting Conitec?

Since some time Conitec has started to reoffer a downgrade to A5.24 for the Comm. and Pro. version of 3D GameStudio.

I have ask Conitec for a version for Standard and Extra, because I own 3D GameStudio Extra from Sybex but it don´t exist. There were updates in former times for 3D GameStudio to A5.24 but they doesn´t exist any longer but they have exist - Conitec told me that these updates have exist. So I ask you, the community, for it.

Remember, you aren´t allowed to post the update here nor you are allowed to send them via email or upload them somewhere. But it would be legal, if you would contact Conitec and ask them to reoffer it here or on the page for you, I think.

So, is there someone outthere who has these updates for standard and extra from older times and would like to spend some time and contact Conitec so that they could reoffer them? I, and I think - hope - am not the only one would be happy if you would be so kind.

Ich fragte bei Conitec nach einer Version für die Standard und die Extra Version, da ich selber 3D GameStudio Extra von Sybex besitze, aber es existieren keine Versionen. Es gab früher einmal Updates auf 5.24 für 3D GameStudio, aber diese Updates existieren ebenfalls nicht mehr, aber es gab sie, wie mir Conitec mitteilte. Nun frage ich euch danach, liebe Community.

Denkt daran, dass es illegal ist, die Updates hier zu posten oder sie über Mail zu schicken oder sie irgendwo hochzuladen. Es wäre allerdings legal, wenn jemand sich mit Conitec in Verbindung setzen würde und Conitec danach fragt, die Updates wieder auf der Seite oder hier anzubieten bzw. hochzuladen.

Nun frage ich euch, gibt es jemanden da draußen, der diese Updates von früher irgendwo rumfliegen hat und sich ein wenig Zeit mehmen würde um Conitec zu kontaktieren, damit Conitec die Updates erneut anbieten kann? Ich würde mich sehr darüber freuen, wenn jemand so freundlich sein würde und ich denke, - hoffe - dass ich nicht der einzige bin.

I have Ver 5 Commercial. I also have all the updates.
I have in the past GIVEN my Ver 3 and Version 4 to others and wrote
a letter to Conitec and told them I have given my Licensed version CD and key and updates to a person. I included their name address, etc.
It was fine with them, they just had the person contact them for a new name/password and such. Perfectly legal with them.

Would you be interested in the Commercial Version of 5 for the cost of postage of CD's? Ja oder nein

By the way my brother-in-law is in Germany. Been there with British Airways since he married there some years ago.

Did I catch it right that you would sell your whole Commercial V5 Edition? - I only ask for the updates. How much $/€ exactly would I have to pay for it?

I dont think you read it correct. I dont want to SELL it, I will give it away. Just have to pay for the postage and some blank CD's. I'll have to check my Post Office once I put it all on CD and box it up.
I thought about keeping it to make a "lower" version of my game, but it is TOO confusing to remember the differences between the codes of ver 5 and ver 6.
I dont think I got my $200 worth out of it, in fact, it is a loss. I didn't learn the code as fast as they came out with Ver 6, so I had to stop making my game in ver5 format. I have my game levels, but now have to re-do my whole code and level transfers and Inventory in ver 6. Gonna take me some time, I was just getting the hang of ver 5, then they go and change the C-Script commands and my Ver 6 does not recognize my Ver 5 commands. HUNDREDS of ERRORS in RUN....

By the way, you can download a 2 level DEMO at ARRCOMM.COM. It is 16 MGB.
I have finished 9 levels so far that the player can go on, but I have actually made 27 different levels. I placed the AI in different places and the Exit and Entrance for the player for each level, 3 different times. The player can travel back and forth between levels, and each time he/she does, they end up in a place they have been, but the AI is not where they expect them to be.
So I had actually made 3 levels per players one level. This way it is harder for the player to "memorize" the level and where the enemy is hiding. The items to collect are still in the same places.

If you want to pay something for it so you don't feel guilty, how about $50 for everything plus shipping? I will contact Conitec once done.
I am not out to make anything, just need to clean up my 2 computers and delete all my Ver 5 stuff.

Assuming you've upgraded to A6 from A5, what you are proposing is infact NOT legal. You will loose your license when you sell your A5, because it's not the version you're transfering to someone else, but your license. So, infact you're not allowed to sell your A5, without selling your A6 version too,it's all about the single license you've got. Why would one need to pay for blank cds by the way? You've got to send the original cds, not copies ..

What edition and version of 3D GameStudio do you have for A6? I saw 6.2 in your profile but "6.2" tells me that you will need to update your copy of 3D GameStudio to 6.31.4 but I don't know what edition you have.

The blank CD's I will buy to send with info to him are not the program CD's, they are CD's of all the A5 type wdl,s FREE models, sprites, and Textures, etc., etc., I have collected in the past for my A5 edition. The program CD and KEy disk are Original, I don't want to have any A5 stuff on my computer. It gets confusing when doing a project. If he can't or doesn't want to pay for the Program, I actually don't care, he can have it.
As far as it being illegal for me to give up my A5 Commercial Edition to him, it has been in the past, as I stated in earlier post, perfectly fine with Conitec. If they made a mistake in letting me give away my Versions 3 and 4, then I can not undo that. But I specifically wrote to them about my earlier editions and upgrades and asked if it would be ok if I gave my Version 4 to a young fellow. I have the original email and reply. It was accepted, and they have all the information on the new owner.
I plan on asking them again about this, once this guy says he wants it. Now if Conitec has changed their mind about letting earlier upgrades be sold/traded/given away, then I suppose I'll just have to wait a month or two and buy the newest full Version 6 and give the Ver 5 and 6 I already have.
I just wanted to help the young man out with something since I did not have any Standard/Extra Editions.
I am sorry. This has seemed to have caused quite a disturbance, I never intended to. The last Version I gave away was a private issue between Conitec, myself, and recipient.

I don't usually update my profile, but I am using A6 6.40.5/WED 6.731 Commercial Edition.
I have actually been a Forum member since 1998, but one year was away building radio stations and something happened to my Original profile, so I had to re-register.

I use MAYA Unlimited ver 7 (Bought the full blown original, costly)
3DStudioMAX version 7 (Bought full blown original, costly)

I am a hobbiest, with these, at best. Costly hobby. But I am learning them slowly. Just like this A6 code. So different than early 5 scripts I am used to.
I can only get in it about 1 hour a day or every other day. Learning is toooo slooowwww. I'm an old guy and my brain is not as quick as you young folks.

I couldn´t hardly believe that you really want to give your 5 Comm. away for free but it´s up to your mind. How would an Oversea-Transfer work because I never did it before? I live in Germany, that´s why my english isn´t so well. When I do some money transfers before e.g. ebay, it was always in germany, so the transfer wasn´t really difficult.

Ich weiß, der Thread ist schon sehr alt, aber ich gebe auch nach so langer Zeit nicht auf... ich hatte mich zwar zu Beginn damit abgefunden, aber jetzt möchte ich doch nochmal fragen... Ich habe nochmal im Web gesurft und bin auf die folgende Seite über web.archive.org gekommen: 3D GameStudio Good old Times Ist das Update auf Version 5.24 in der Extra Version wirklich nirgendwo mehr auf den Conitec Servern zu finden, das kann doch echt nicht sein oder, es muss da doch en Backup geben oder

Hier ist noch der Link, wo das Update mal gelegen hat, 3D GameStudio Update V5.24 Extra wobei die Datei updext30.exe hieß.

Kann man da echt nix mehr machen, ich mein ich habe ja ne gültige gekaufte Sybex Version und demnach auch ein Handbuch und somit ein Passwort. Ich kann auch noch Fotos hinzufügen, wenn das nötig wäre.

Hat nicht irgendwer mal das Update runtergeladen und könnte es für mich zu Verfügung stellen. In dem Fall könnte sich der jenige doch evtl. mit Conitec in Verbindung setzen, damit das ganze auch legal bleibt; mir ist klar das ein direktes schicken der Datei verboten wäre.
