well i used the manual and yer in found that most useful but hmm u culd try looking on the tutorial page in AU resources, the shooter tutorials on it are pretty good to get you started

its good to see someone that is actually taking initiative, most people always want the whole community to try and tutor them, and make there game for them.

Anyways in my opinion the c-script tutorial on the downloads page taught me alot about scripting. I also recomend grimbers fps tutorial on the resource link at the top or bottom of this page.

K well in the tutorial that comes with it, I tried the Learn Programming in 6 Days and while I was reading, I was barely even getting it or I just really wasn't interested. Is this program not for me?

lol, Well if your not into making games or at least something on them lines.Then no its probally not. Honestly im sure alot of people buy 3dgs with huge plans then after they realize that its not likley to create the next (insert title here) they give up shortly and 3dgs ends up collecting dust and taking up room on their hds.

Theres a lot to learn if you plan to use 3dgs and hardly anyone masters all aspects of it.

Im curious as to where you obtained you copy of 3dgs tho? As far as I know programming in 6 days doesnt come with the new copy of gs.

My suggestion is to download the demo from the demo page and play around with that for awhile before making your desicion... Check out the other tutorials suggested above as well but be forewarned if you dont want or have time to learn to use it then its not likley worth spending money on. Just my opinion mind you.

go to the acknex unlimited site, and download the 4 part shooter tutorial, this wil give you a great start. from there it gets a lot easier. the cscript tutorial in the old manual sucks, id ignore that one at all cost.
