Wow it looks great do you create that game by your own or with some help?

Everything in the game is handmade with a little luv'n! Maybe I'll have a playable ready in 2-3 monthes, but here are some more screens until then. This room is still kind of dark and will probably go through a few more design changes but heres an early concept:

The exit out of this large incubator:

The idea is for a creepy unknown feeling, so I'll leave everyone with just that. I'm a creep and you don't know

Anyhow, any comments would be awesome.

Realy good level design. Is that your first game? I hope you didn´t made the ladder out of blocks. Better use a model (if you need with my.polygon flag on).

Well, the Geometry of the level is all made in WED and Photoshop, but the auxillary things that you see in previous pictures (Tow Motor, Fire Extinguisher, Drinking Fountain, Mop etc...) were all made in Cinema 4D and then I brought them into MED for skinning and then I'm lucky enough to have Adobe Photoshop 6 SE that for some reason came with my Modem CD about 3-5 years ago... Latest and Greatest Technology here!

I thought using a model for the ladder but I wanted the shadow to be cast, and while I could have used a model and then some blocks set to 'None', I felt that the level blocks could better represent a ladder than spending time on a model that ultimatly would need more polygons, more computing, not have a shadow and still require a skin for it. Right now, my entire level is a little over 1000 Portals, so if things get to high, I'll probably revert to a model, but until then I'm just to lazy. (Though a model would probably look wayyyyyy better).

I've never heard of Gile, I think I'll look it up today when I have a chance.

Thanks for you comments, I'll throw the completed room up when its ready.

Geometry looks really nice but I think that the ceiling texture looks a bit too clean.

i like the textures on the world, they are nice, some need work, but overall nice work, the hand however doesn't look good.

Thanks for all of your comments.

The hand is in definite need of work. Since I'm a lone wolf, I probably won't get back to the hand for a while. Its just filling in the space. It can hold a gun (pistol) it bitch slaps, idles and runs. But those are for a demo. I thought I would post a few pictures of some updates. Any and all critiques are definitly appreciated. Any way to get better and better at this.

This hallway is definitly a SOB. Getting textures lined up properly and making sure that every block fits in evenly with no seems.

This room is still completely unfinished, but I thought it would be a good point of reference in future pictures, kind of a start to end of this particular room.

And I just wanted to show off the massiveness of this room. again. I'm not displaying the internals of the room because it will be a surprise when a demo is released. But it will be sweet.

Next, I'll post some shots of weapons and the rooms with more detail. But for now, back to REAL work. damn...

You definitely have a talent for leveldesign. Architecture and textures fit together perfect. Can't wait to see that with detailed objects...
