Scripts would go after function main() where it says "call further functions here: }" after the brace TCS, i don't agree w/ you fully about the templates. what should be done with them in my opinion is that the templates should be used for the first few games and then the programmer, as he/she learns, weans off the templates to eventually not using them. the code would be something like this w/o particals code:
string wolf_mdl = <wolf.mdl>; //name of model goes in <> string man_mdl = <man.mdl>; //" "
function transform() { morph(wolf_mdl,man_mdl); }
on_t = transform()
put this *under* the function main() and look for a good particle generator.

There is no quick way to learn this stuff, if you don't know where to put the code in WED ...(heheh) then you haven't read anything at all - or you skipped to the end. I understand your desire to rush into the level design and wanting to see everything go - but these nice patient people here are giving you the best advice.....
LEARN THE CODE!!!!!!
Not many musicians make it pro without knowing how to read or write music. It is kinda hard and boring to learn, but c'mon you gotta do it.
I am learning, and it is slow....it takes time and you end up re-reading things 10 times. Start with the tutorials that come with the software then move on to the tutorials posted here and at conitec's site. Everyone else here has had to learn it or is in the process. It is just something you have to do if you are serious about making a unique game. otherwise - all you have is ideas, just share the ideas with a real developer and hope he/she listens and makes the game you want, giving a complimentary beta release for coming up with the genius idea. The idea is crap unless you posess the skills to make it happen.
ANyway - i must ask......What do you plan to make with the 30 day trial?
Or are you using a cracked version of the trial........
Either case - you'll never be able to publish your game so whats the f&^^%$ point? Warez = stealing, and although i don't get very upset when I notice someone using a "borrowed" windows serial #, stealing from conitec is like stealing from all of the people here at the forum. This software is someone's blood sweat and tears...and if you like the software and wish to see future better versions released, then buck up and pay the $200 bucks for the extra edition. I was tempted to DL the cracks that are out there....but it isn't right. especially for software like this. You are using a tool, and if that is stolen then you'll never be able to use that tool anywhere.......... 3DGS is a really good bargain. I will soon upgrade to commercial. THe extra offers alot of features for the beginner and hey, you've got months of coding to do anyway!!!
Sorry if I've offended anyone - but stealing form conitech is like stealing from everyone here....
