ok so recently i found that my ambitios father who wants me
to be like my older brother bought GameStudio 6 Pro
well i do have interest in 3d Game Developing , but till now i was
just messing with 2D Game developing...
So pretty much ive never typed a single line of code(except a few tries with
Dark BASIC , which is too hard in my opinion.....
SO i have no experience in 3DGs
Thats why i turn to u members....is it Coding-oriented or is it like with an Editor where u place stuff and such...
And how hard the engine is .. also how long does it take getting used to it
ive read that it supports ragdoll physics so i assume my dream of making a 3D Wrestling game with ragdoll physics is possible with this great engine
Also concerning this im a totally newb at coding i must ask where should i look
for tutorials on GameStudio

Sorry for takin ya time to read this

Oh well its not hard to get used to it.
But you should update to the latest version to get all the great features you need to make your dream come true.

I think 3DGS is one of the best engines for a beginner, becuase you will find a lot of help, and sample code from the community.

As for a wrestling game, that requires more advanced knowledge. You should try a simpler game before attemting it. Make a FPS first, and learn how 3DGS works. You will have a lot of fun making games.

you can "click" together a simple game using the templates so you would never have to touch the scripts.
But scripting is necessary for more advanced titles/projects.

No. You can only get updates / upgrades from Conitec. You got your password in the moment you bought Gamestudio.

You have a really old version of Gamestudio. This one cannot use shaders and alot of other new helpful features. I really do not recommend to work with A6.22 Pro.

Contact Conitec to find a way how to upgrade to the latest version!

Hi, I am new with this engine also, and I had the same kind of questions that you have right now. I will recomend you the two tutorial that are at the download page about c-script and WED. Out of all the tutorials that I have found those two are the best for those who are starting. Learn how to work with WED first, then learn how to make c-scripts, then learn how to create models and terrains in MED. I have not found any tutorial for MED yet so I can't really tell you if is hard to learn or not. To write the c-script language is very easy but you will get a lot of errors at first. Don't worry about errors just bring them here to the forums and experts wil help you. Wed is not hard to learn to work with either. Of course that to become an expert you will have more problems but just to learn the basics is easy.

There is one in the manual of 3DGS. This one with the robot "robbie". Besides that there is a chapter about animation.
