If you have contact to him, please ask him to answer our email. We still need the password or user ID of the license, otherwise we can not register the license transfer.

When selling your software, of course you need to send your the key file not to us but to the new owner! How's he supposed to use it otherwise?
Please do not forget to inform him that he should contact us with his name and address as well as the user ID (from the password.txt file) for re-registering the software to his name.
Best regards Support/Conitec

Hello,
you just need to inform us about the new owner, and also have him send us an email so that we can change the registration to his name.
Be aware that the license can only be sold once, i.e. selling it is only possible when you've purchased it directly from us.
Best regards Support/Conitec
And this is what you guys told him in an e-mail: Quote:
no, we only register the license to your name, in case of an upgrade to a future version, like A7. Otherwise we're not involved in the transfer. The key transfer is to be handled between you and the seller of the software.
So, could you explain what is going on here? But I do wish that you guys make this right Because when someone say something, he should act based on what he said, otherwise he have no word and people should not trust in him.
And this is the only thing that the license conditions tells us:
Quote:
Reselling the Software. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this Agreement, provided you (a) have purchased the software directly from Conitec, (b) notify Conitec about the transfer and the recipient, (c) transfer all of the Software (including all component parts, the user ID, password, the media and printed materials), (d) retain no copies, and (e) the recipient agrees to abide by all of the terms of this Agreement. Upgrades can not be transferred separately; if the Software is upgraded, any transfer must include the original version of the Software and all of your rights therein. Team Editions and second hand purchased software can not be transferred.
So, why does he needs to buy another key, to be able to have his license showing his name? Where are this written?

I know this is between you and conitec, but it's so simple I'm going to butt in: a) Password.txt: this is the password file that allows you to download the files. Seller gives this to buyer. b) key.exe (or key.zip): this is the key that will unlock the trial version and upgrade it to the current version. Seller gives this to buyer. c) Registration: This is an internal Conitec database that states that you have transferred your license to another user. Conitec handles this at sellers and buyers email request. What you are probably wanting to do is have the "registered to: sorceror" tag on the development startup screen have your new buyers name. If I'm correct, to do this: 1) The registration process (point "c" above) must be completed. 2) The new owner has the key and password files. 3) The NEW OWNER requests that Conitec make a new key to reflect his name OR 3) It's conitec's policy that they don't change the name in the dev version (since it's pointless anyways) and they just know internally who owns what. So in conclusion I think all you need to do is make sure your buyer has the key and password file and then have the buyer request whatever it is they want. Hope this helps and if not I'm sure JCL will be here to clear things up!
