Hello. I'm trying to export an animated 3DS MAX file into MED through the .3DS route, however it doesn't import the animations! How does one go about importing 3dsmax animations and textures with MED? Is it even possible? I know it's possible with bones, however it's proving especially difficult with regular vertex animation. I just can't really seem to find a reliable conversion/import-export pathway. The "Import 3ds" option only imports the first frame, the many different .x imports end up screwing up the model when coming into MED and there doesn't seem to be a 3ds Type that would import into milkshape that would then export the animations to MED.

No, I didn't know that. But I appreciate your explanation. Good to have friends then. But to be serious: I know people that indeed offered me 3dsmax as well. They told that they know some web pages where you find the latest warez versions of it very quickly. That is really a shame. You even do not need friends for that. You just need an Internet connection. But nevertheless I would recommend to start with a smaller program and learn modelling. You want to create games and not the next "Harry Potter" movie.

Hiya. What someone needs to do is make a Collada plugin for A6. ( http://www.collada.org ). The .fbx ("filmbox") plugin is good and all, but, iirc, it was recently bought by Discreet (3DS MAX and Maya)...and I'm not sure that's a good sign...

Hey, I've been having the same problem (except I only need to import skins). I looked on the downloads page and the DLL resource page and can't find that plug-in. Maybe I'm just dense. Can someone point it out to me?
