It's a texture (picture depicting a certain kind of surface) that if displayed multiple times next to each other (tiled). e.g. showing a texure five times in the width and five times vertically does not show any obvious borders. A seamless grasstexture for example won't show any seams where you see all cut of pieces of grass at the edge of the picture when tiled....hope that kind of explains it...
