I was making a program for editing terrains and i ended up making some cool painting effects. I didn't work on the GUI much but the top button is for deforming the terrain, the other buttons are for painting, the first 3 slider control the paint color, the 4th slider is the radius and the last is the strength. You can use the code for anything if you want.

That's looking pretty cool ... are you sure you were going for a terrain editor and not for photoshop 3d?

maybe you could call it "abstract Pictures" or something like that

interesting... are you able to import and export the skin / terrain?
