INTRODUCTION
My name is David Entwisle. Like many of you I am a game designer hobbyist. I have completed what I can a "Proof of Concept" for my next game titled "The Rat". It is a 3rd Person shooter with similarities to Max Payne.

DEMO AVAILABLE
The demo (which contains no music) has been uploaded and is able to be downloaded for people to have a look at. (I will also post some screenshots below.)

The Rat DEMO

TEAM REQUIRED – LEVEL DESIGNERS
I am looking for a team to complete this game for the aim of publication. I need everything but in particular I would like C-Scripters and Game Studio level designers. I do welcome other applications through. You would need to be confident that you could create levels to a quality similar to the demo. You will be provided with textures.

AIM – RELEASE GAME
The aim will be to complete the game for testing by April 07 for release before September 07. (So it is a short production time). The aim is to sell the game as an independent production over the internet. (Publisher yet to be found).

Thanks Ambe - With this game I don't think screenshots do it justice. I think you need to play it and see the slow motion (hit right mouse) and the short ingame cutscenes to understand it.

Scripting
World Design
modeling
webdesign
sound and music
texturing

I am accually interested in any of the above things. I apologize in advance for not having a profile for your viewing, but I assure you I am very good, and take pride in what I am working on. Get back to me.

EDIT:

I cant play it... The game closes at the main menu as soon as move the cursor

I might be interested in this as a Level Designer, but I would like to know more about what has been done thus far as far as the level design goes (Editor, how many levels completed, mapping, etc...) and I would be interested to find out what your expectations are for a potential level designer (I know you want a release, but how aggressive a schedule you hoping for).

Also, almost forgot, is there a design document to act as a guide?

To answer some of the questions.

1. I am not sure why it does not load. I am guessing it is a shader issue. Send me some details privately and I will look into it Link.

2. The storyline and design document is not complete I must confess. This will be done shortly and neither the less has enough information to proceed. But i agree it is good to know what is being aimed for before you begin.

3. I will upload models and WADs when people join up.

4. The schedule is for a release around September 07 if possible the aim is to sell the game at a good time of the year.

Ok guys,

I have had some great replys and a team has been formed.

BUT the team still requires more modellers, scripters and level designers (level designers in particular).

If you feel you are up to the task please contact me. It will be a great project, allot of fun and a real potential for commercial gain.

Mmmm, still it doesn't seem to give a real advantage to go into slow motion. I tend to die more easily when I use it, perhaps add a extra delay before the enemy shoots when you activate the slow motion. Max Payne seems to do this too, I've just played part I again.
