Here's a little bug, but I bet it's been solved time over and again.

My computer crashed a week ago (completely not related to 3dGS) and I had to restore the hardrive. After I reinstalled 3dGS today I soon realized that I can't build my level.... I can edit, test, and save my level, but the build button does literally nothing... I press it but nothing happens. There's nothing complicated or fancy to my level that would create this error, just a noob workshop whipped together in a few hours.

Is there a common cure to this problem? Thanks!

Have you updated to the latest build?

A not-working Build button can have 3 reasons: 1) using a beta version, 2) an incomplete Gamestudio installation (the file "wwmp2wmb.exe" is damaged or missing), or 3) a Windows problem with MFC.

1) is solved by legally purchasing Gamestudio, 2) by re-installing the latest update, 3) requires a Windows XP re-installation. If you have an older version than XP, you might also need to install the Acessibility update from the download page or your Gamestudio CD.

Re-installing it seems to have worked this time. Hopefully I don't continue to experience errors in the future.
