I was wondering why so many people prefer to use newton instead of regular physics engine ?

Well for one its free and for me the main reason would be that my edition is limited to offer support for one phsysics object. Only thing is that since i've began working with model based levels I stopped with Newton for a while.

None ATM that are compatible with 3DGS. But Newton works GREAT! especially with the new update beta A6.5...

Also, you CAN create model based levels with Newton. However, the current version does NOT allow polygon precise collision, so you would have to create your objects one plane at a time...

Sure there are other, Havoc, PysX (free commercial py engine!). But integrating this a hell of work.

Thats what I was trying to say. There are others, but none (compatible; integrated; wrapped) with 3DGS...

Check out my adaptation of Newton in the "User Contributions: Newton A65 + Physics Player (V1.0)"...
