ok... I am really new at gamestudio. I have been making my game for about a month now and it was going fine... I downloaded the full version and when i made my own textures and inserted them in it worked fine until today where it sayed * Malfunction W1301

<Game.Wmb>: Can't open file....

some one help me plz!!!

Well... i thought i found the reason with one of my textures but when i exchanged it with a new one that i had used before a new message came up that sayed


WMP to WMB compiler V6.355 (WMB6)(CPUs: 2)

Warning W074: Duplicate blocks 37 and 41!

and now i took out the new texture i changed it with the defualt and it went back to the original message...?

If you are using the templates check the .WMB file name defined in the string for level_load (in the main wdl file) and see if its the same of your actual level.

? ok... I have no idea what you just sayed because I am very new at this and am 14 years old.. I coundln't figure out what went wrong with my level so i tryed the tutorial again and this time when i made the house at the beginning, the same message popped up and so i tried just putting in a block with the defualt textures on and the same Malfunction W1301 poped up? Unless i am doing some thing very wrong to start with... I don't know what it could be .... but i would like to learn...

Oh Yeah and after you click OK on the Malfunction W1301 box, another box pops up that says Error E1100

<GAME.WMB>: Can't open level

If that makes any difference....

Ok,

1. You had to save your level with a name allright? So what name is that?

2. In the same folder where you save it the level with that name, there will be a .wdl file with the same name, open this file with SED and when you see string level_str = "game.WMB"; replace it with the above level name, like "thatName.WMB".
