Hello,
Does A5 render polys.. that are under another model.. Like say you add armor over a basic male model.. does it render the polys under the armor aswell?

not that I can see. does yours? I could see some drivers doing that. you could maybe do a transparent layer over a model if you wanted to.

Yes, any MDL polygon that is hidden behind another polygon is sent to the DirectX driver, which tries to figure out every pixel the polygon might cover. However texture and lighting is not calculated for them, which makes the performance acceptable.

the kyroII has a feature that is called "hidden surface removal". it doesn't render the hidden polys.
but I personally don't like the kyro series
