Hey guys,
I've been obsessing over photo textures for a while now and I thought I'd have an attempt at photorealism. Haven't gotten there yet but I managed to remake myself in 3D. It took about 3-4 hours to produce. First I took a high-res photo of myself, modeled a face around the image and then imported it into game studio. This is a screenshot running in Game Studio (at a smooth 240FPS):

Heres the photo I took of myself (halfed):

Its still a work in progress, I'll post more screenshots as the progress continues.
Thanks for your attention
-Bright

Hmm i like it, looks realistic (omg its a realistic face D:), especially because of the shadows. Just wondering how you will make the hair look realistic. keep it up.

Thanks for the feedback (quick feedback too, replied 20 seconds after I posted this). I haven't really thought about the hair yet. I was thinking of giving him a bennie or something but I will give hair a try

you should try to mix the other half of the photo, so the texture isnt just mirrored

As high as I could get it without losing quality in the photo (by streaching it). 2048x2048

as the hl2-creators said, faces stand and fall with the eyes. only with the eyes we can say if it looks realistic.
your hammer texture has very obvious seams. neither the handle texture nor the head have any depth in the texture, rework the normal map here.
