there is a wonderful command in the A5 engine which allows the tiling of the terrain

tex_scale

Looks really great. There occurs just one little problem with that.In the vicinity of the player (looking top down or a little bit above) you will have the impression of a shivering, moving surface, as if you were drowning. - Is there anybody who knows why?
(There are ways to evade. Narrorwing the camera perspective, changing the size of the player - but this is not very elegant though):

I could not find tex_scale documented in the wdlman.pdf dated jan 2002. What does it do?

It scales down the terain texture.
