problem. I am using milkshape to model sometimes and i would like to convert over to mdl format without losing my bones. I have a6 commercial and can handle bones, so that wont be an issue. does anyone know how to convert to mdl without losing the bones animations? ironically, i did it befor with two models a year ago, I forgot what I did to export it.

you have to export your model to Milkshape3d ASCII fromat, then import it in Med and you'll have your model with bones animation

see, i didnt have that problem, the only problem i had was all of the animation frames stayed together, so i had to separate them by renaming each frame, ie;frame 1-12 = walk, frame 13-20 = run, etc.

You're lucky then, but my problem still stands.

does it lose animation of all bones in the frame? And are the lose of frames only in one place or they are reapeating in several places of your animation?

I hope you understand my questions, because i'm not very good in english

Yes I understand. The animation is only lost in the arms during his walking animation his arms should swing realistically but they jolt from front to back with no animation between.

To solve this problem you have to make keyframes in every frame when animating in milkshape.

When you animate in milkshape you create one keyframe(arm rotated to back) and after several frames another keyframe(arm rotated to front), the animation between the keyframes is interpolated and creates smooth animation between them. The problem is because the interpolated animation is not exported from milkshape.
