hi,
i just read on gamestudio website that 3D file formats (X, 3DS, OBJ, ASE, MDL, MD2, MAP, WAD) are supported for import. i am a lightwave user. lw supports obj, 3ds and x. in the past there was a big problem with importing things from other packages. can anyone tell me the correct pipeline to bring my models from lightwave (or any other 3d app) into 3dgs with the right textures, lights,.... is there an import filter for lightwave?

Use another program for conversion...
OR
Use the .X export. This is your best option. .OBJ might work well too though...

i would convert to 3ds, and then import to 3dgs med.

3DS doesn't support textures, and normals often get messed up...
