Anyone have any problems with playing sounds? When I play a sound with snd_play, what I expect is that it plays out the speakers with no regard to where it is played from in the 3d world, and it will play out all speakers at the same volume, if set to a balance of 0. Now, in my case, if the player looks north the sound comes out, for example, very loud and when looking south it comes out silent. Is it only me, or has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions?

EDIT | Nevermind, I got it fixed. The reason was because I was using a non-stereo .wav file.

Hi,

This phenomena is "sound driver" dependent.

I have one computer that does this and the other does not. It should ideally not depend on if it is "Stereo" or not.

Try to make sure the sound driver is up to date. Since I updated my sound driver, then I have not tried it yet.

Well, I'm not sure. I had two files that were playing and I realized that only the one file was working properly, then I checked the differences and saw that the one that was working was a stereo wav file and the other was not. So I changed the other into a stereo wav and now its working perfectly fine. The drivers could still cause the problem but it does not seam to be in my case. If I find another problem I'll try it out.

BTW, Ran Man, interesting game you made.
