Sure its all possible and maybe even probable. Just because we as a species are very limited in our understanding of 'reality' doesn't in any way mean that we cannot extrapolate the impossible, sublime, ridiculous or whatever but can mean that we recognise our shortcommings and so provide a basis to ponder 'the meaning of life' and maybe, the incentive to actually go about looking for the means to support or refute as the case may be.

Having theorised that matter and energy are essentially one and the same thing and produced verifiable results supporting the theory, we are again presented with another set of questions and theories to consider resulting from the first theory and so on add inifinitum...isn't this the way it goes?

I think that we have not enough information yet to determine how data may be stored and expressed so coming up with solutions based upon our present understanding is always going to produce a negative, "it can't be done because we havn't done it yet" but that in anyway, does not negate the theory posed here.

then again..we could be a random occurence within the molecular structure of some childs toy that has been tossed aside!

There's actually a sort of LOD!
In our perception, for instance does the nerves of the ear sort the sounds into more and less important ones.

More interesting is our 'LOD' in respect to social and psychological perception.

For instance a LOD of the public consciousness: Far distance LOD: Afrika needs help. Closer look/LOD: The african markets are spoiled by european and american subsidized products (and chinese products, cheap by exploitation). Still closer look: (too 'highpoly' to describe here in a few words! )

I think it does!
You can simulate chemical reactions... And you need just a very good cpu to simulate the hole world

.... you can't change the physikal stuff inside but you can outside...
So the guy sitting on the computer (which simulates us) can do everything he wants to do with us... maybe someone like god...
