well once again ive produced an update for my company visual demo "Walk About".
im having to label the different versions...this will be v1.4 . somebody...atleast one person comment on the music! because i like the music. it sets the mood. alot of things have changed. i added some movement in the forest. the cave has changed considerably...i was forced to remove the bumpmap from the cave, due to my limited knowlege of dynamic lighting...plus i dont think the bumpmap script i use allows the object to react to light.
well heres the link . enjoy it. the file size keeps soaring with the advancements. its now 105 or so megabytes.

happy downloading
EDIT: lol saw this and thought it was a word that some people need to hear.
"When criticizing other peoples's work, don't forget: even making a bad game is a very hard and difficult task. "

Or try this one:

"When criticizing other people's work, don't forget to make your observations based on an invidivuals experience and skill level, no point comparing someone who is new, has no decent resources, to a game that had a $5 million budget and a team of talented artists and programmers make it" On the same note though there is nothing more annoying than seeing someone who hasn't made something that good, act like it is, being very naieve and not having a proper perspective on the quality of their work...

Considering the level you're at, you're doing good, keep taking this path because the more you learn and the more you improve the better you'll get and eventually will be making some great stuff! downloading atm, if I have any suggestions to make I'll edit, I did play your earlier version and it's good to see that you are implementing the changes people are suggesting rather than getting down about the crits and giving up, that shows some maturity.

well its not great, but you do seem to have a good sense of design, and i think i posted it on one of your threads, but you seem to have a great talent for finding natural mixes with color, everything in your scene blend nicely together, even tho the textures arent really great.

ya. my mom spends alot of time watching hgtv (home and garden) and every now and then ill sit with her. you learn loads of stuff from these show. they could teach a 3dgs user a thing or two about lighting and design. etc. natural colors are what i love working with. i suck literally at doing space stuff... inside of space shuttles...metal walls.. etc. i can make a decent looking scene. but i cant make an excelent looking scene. last night i had this really cool idea. it wont be a project or game but more of a "3dgs community coming together kinda thing". i had this idea of 3dgs HD. weve all seen HBO HD and satelite tv in HD and xbox360 HD its time for 3dgs to step it up...in a few days ill start a thread in showcase I called 3dgs HD hopefully ill have a few 3dgs HD images to post. basically just want people to step up and make something high definition it could be 1 model or a scene or anything ...just has to be HD.

I tried downloading twice, did you get it to successfully download not_me? Both times I downloaded the entire file, 105mb, and both times the installation found a corrupt file and stopped

well it worked fine for me. idk what could be wrong
it installed in full and i was able to play it. perhaps giving it another try will give a better result.
EDIT: hmm thats really awkward. its looking for bird.mdl? bird.mdl was not apart of the origonal compile. so...im baffled...
well for those of you who dont want the engine to bite your head off when you play the demo. here is the bird.MDL that its groaning about
