I want to make an acquarium(transparent water, where fishes are in the water).
For that, I have taken a block and applied water texture to it, but when i placed a mdl(fish) in it , it is not visible.
How to make the water transparent, so that the fishes in it are also visible.
(is there any option for a block to make transparent).

You have got to create a seperate map entity.
Create a block, add ware texture etc.
Compile it as a map file.
Add it as a map entity in your original map.
Then set your flags.

I think that's how you do it.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

But,my problem is not yet solved...
I have made a map entity(wmb) and loaded in my map file but how can i make it transparent(or give an action) Do i need to change the settings or save it as some other form...

right-click -> properties

that's just a guess;
i don't use WED but there should be a "transparent" flag somewhere under properties.
