My A6 version doesnt run right #153347

My A6 version wont let me use the code templates that come with it. When i try to add a code it gives a error message(look on my other posts to see what i mean by error messages) however the A5 codes work fine. Is this a bug with my A6 version?

I've been trying to fix it for a year and a half, but all i was able to do is frustrate my self wit trying to get it right.

I'm sure that your A6 version runs right and you'll be able to fix your problem, whatever it is. However you posted to the wrong forum, so your post was moved.

The bug forum is for Gamestudio bugs only, not for bugs in your game. A game developer is supposed to be able to fix his bugs himself. If you need help, please post on the beginner's, template or script forum, depending on which problems you have. For getting help however you need to give a precise description of what you've done and what problem appeared so that people know what you're talking about.

Tell me your steps and i'll try to do the same with my A6.60 version to see what the problem is. Think it's just a little mistake..

Thanks for trying to help out. I haven't been able to check out the posts in while. Well i wil make a quick level to show you what happens.

I'll first add in a hollow cube, then add in the wizard model that comes with the studio, and then add in the chaingun model that also came with it. I then save the game (as trail) and go to map proporties and press 'add script' and select the A6_project. I then righ click on the wiard model and select proporties and go to the 'behavior' icon and under the 'action' part it says ndef so i select 'choose action' and a pop-up comes and and says choose action, but it is totally blank.

This got me stuck for a while but then i decided to trying selecting 'project manager' and select the 'add' icon and drop the the script menu and add 'Biped player' and 'Biped player weapons'. Now i am able to add 'Plbliped01' to the wizard model. Then i add 'PlBipedWeap00_WeapP' to the chain gun.

At this point i will biuld the level. Once that is done, i select the 'run' icon. I'll post what is says when i try to run it:

i have the a7 and have the same problem...the way i get it to run is go to the project manager, click on customize and choose weaponfx(00) then click the customize bar...scroll all the way to the bottom and change adv explosions to false..i'm not sure what the problem is but i am just a beginner and this is my first post in this forum..this does work but you might not have explosions but i'm not sure but it will at least run your game while you wait for a better answer...
