WED is running sluggish for me. For instance, moving or scaling an object takes longer than it should. I have an up to date Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, DirectX9, Pentium 4 @ 3 GigaHertz, and 1 gig of RAM. I'm not certain if this is a bug, or inadequate hardware. Any advice would be appreciated.
I have an Nvidia 8800 gtx but when I get a ton of textures and an area covering 500 or more quants it starts to lag (to e expected with any 3d app). Just run in wireframe mode until you want to check your texture placement.

You can also check if your 3D card runs better under DX8 than DX9, which is the case for old cards. For this set "Video Out" to a GXL..DX8 in Preferences.
you use nVidia hardware? try a driver prior to the 9x.xx generation. I use 88.xx and it solved all problems for me. wings3d runs sluggish with the new drivers, too.
I purchased an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 A-LE after having posted my question. The graphics hardware did the trick. No longer does Wed act sluggish for me. Thanks for your help...SirCamaris
