HI there,
I have a big level in 3ds Max 9, about 70 models I think all placed nicely in 3ds max 9.

Does anyone know if in A7 (I have yet to upgrade), the .fbx support will enable me to import as seperate mdl files but all at once?
Or does it just import as one big wed geometry?

I suppose I will have to do a long way round, ie collapse whole lot as a mesh, import as mdl and use that to enable me to place each mesh imported seperately.
IMPORTING AS MDL IS NEEDED.
OR any other free alternatives?
Many thanks.....

Importing seperately is a good idea. For Max 9 (reading from different threads),using .FBX works fine. You are talking about 70 models, that's a lot;but for a better results,I will export seperate models from each category of model set and then duplicate in WED to make up(if needed) instead of trying to export 70 models individually.Importing as .MDL is possible but not 70 models, you will quickly realize why.

Good lighting doesn't just happen,it's designed.
